Prayer for Our Lady of the Sierras Foundation

Dear Jesus and Blessed Mother Mary, We implore Your blessing and guidance upon the Foundation, all visitors and their intentions and on those who serve You. Hold us in Your Merciful hands close to Your heart burning with light and love, so that protected and defended by You we may be fit and faithful instruments, bringing others closer to You and bringing You to others. Fulfill in us Your Divine Will which You have destined from all eternity. Grant us the vision that in whatever we do: we may, See You in All, Serve You in All, and Love You and All. (Dawn Dugie)

La Purisima Retreat Center

La Purisima is named in honor of the Immaculate Conception (in Spanish, La Purisima Concepcion) - was incorporated in the Spring of 2000 to provide a "place apart" in an atmosphere of serenity and peace, where one can experience spiritual renewal and growth in the beautiful high desert of Southeast Arizona.

For the many groups and parishes of the Diocese of Tucson, as well as our other guests, La Purisima Center provides a "desert experience" of prayer and quiet reflection. We are particularly interested in providing retreat facilities for youth groups, but we welcome all groups with special needs.

Special Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe Prayer
Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of the Angels and Mother of the Americas. We fly to you today as your beloved children. We ask you to intercede for us with your Son, as you did at the wedding in Cana. Pray for us, loving Mother, and gain for our nation and world, and for all our families and loved ones, the protection of your holy angels, that we may be spared the worst of this illness. For those already afflicted, we ask you to obtain the grace of healing and deliverance. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful, wipe away their tears and help them to trust. In this time of trial and testing, teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind. Help us to bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to our hearts. We come to you with confidence, knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother, health of the sick and cause of our joy. Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, keep us in the embrace of your arms, help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus.  Amen.
Archbishop José H. Gomez, President United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
