La Purisima Retreat Center

La Purisima is named in honor of the Immaculate Conception (in Spanish, La Purisima Concepcion) - was incorporated in the Spring of 2000 to provide a "place apart" in an atmosphere of serenity and peace, where one can experience spiritual renewal and growth in the beautiful high desert of Southeast Arizona.

For the many groups and parishes of the Diocese of Tucson, as well as our other guests, La Purisima Center provides a "desert experience" of prayer and quiet reflection. We are particularly interested in providing retreat facilities for youth groups, but we welcome all groups with special needs.

For more information, please contact the Retreat Coordinator at (520) 240-5658 or LPRetreatcenter@gmail.com or visiting http://www.lpretreat.org

(Our Mother Speaks)(The following message was received prior to the Friday night Canyon Rosary and was transcribed as it was being dictated. During these last few weeks, there have been numerous occasions upon which this writer has found herself amidst large groups of people speaking on “fear” and “anxiety”. That in itself is enough to make the hair rise on any timid person’s arms and seemingly feeling myself with my back against a wall, I made my way forward and began to speak. This was only accomplished when I realized it was not the wall which supported me, but the Lord Himself. As with all messages, we urge you to pray to the Holy Spirit for discernment as you read the following):

“My Dear Children,

You lose strength when your focus is distracted from Jesus, for He alone is your strength and salvation. In your weariness       cling to Me. The Mother.............................................................. .....
sent by God to encourage and support you as you journey to My Son. In all of
life’s trials.......... that of self-sufficiency poses many problems...... for it is pride indisguise. Your vision becomes clouded and blurred ....... thus, in your shortsightedness ..... you take your eyes off of Jesus and find yourself lost in worldly ways. The scale (I questioned if I had heard correctly)  a harmoniousrelationship with God ..... begins to tilt ......... . you lose your footing .....  and so

slightly, that it is barely detectable.......... a downward spiral takes hold.

Pray, My children. A life centered in prayer is productive and rewarding............ for
it is the fruits of prayer which .... one day ..... shall ripen into great delicacies which you shall offer to God.”

(Visual): I see what appears to be a cross in the sky. It resembles the letter “T”...... but from each end of the cross-beam hangs a long chain with a shallow basin. On one side I see the basin being filled with many souls. It becomes out of balance, the other side begins to rise into the air. There is a great noise breaking the silence of the vision. I hear voices filled with anxiety. They realize their lives are out of control. There is another voice, singular in nature ...... which, as it resounds throughout the world, a great sense of peace prevails. It is a strong but gentle and compassionate male voice, which says ... “Pray”.The souls begin to pray ..... praising God, thanking Him for all things ...... their trials, suffering and joys. There is an explosion of great light. A glisteningly bright figure appears on the scale, which resembles a cross with a flaming heart exposed. As the souls pray ... little arrows pierce the Heart and tiny drops of blood and water fall into the other basin ... until the scale is balanced. God’s love and mercy have balanced the scale. Prayer brings peace into our hearts as we unite ourselves in love for Almighty God.
