Welcome to Our Lady of the Sierras Shrine |
|
This is a journey which began in November of 1990 as a simple pilgrimage to Medjugorje Yugoslavia. We heard that the Blessed Mother was appearing to six young children giving them messages and "secrets" which would one day be revealed to the world. We joined a small group from Geneva, Illinois headed by Joe Camaioni, a very humble mason and artist who has a great devotion to Our Lady.
For us, this was a journey of thanks for the abundance of blessings God in His great love and mercy allowed us to share. We did not witness any unusual happenings in Medjugorje other than the "miracle" of the people --- people from all over the world who were hungry for a small glimmer of hope, the reassurance of God's existence. It was a journey which we later realized was in preparation for Our Lady's plan for a hill top in Southeastern Arizona.
