Rodarte Family Testimonial

This message was originally sent in early February. We felt it was necessary to send it again after our daughters doctors visit today.. Viviene is doing excellent everything looks great and if anything her vision is getting better. Thank you for your time.

Our daughter Vivien Leigh Rodarte was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma when she was just seven months old. Vivien is now sixteen months old and in this short time she has undergone seven surgeries to control the glaucoma and for a hemorrhage that was blocking the vision in her right eye. My mother in law told me about Letty, a visionary in El Paso, Tx(which happens to be my home town, we now live in Phx). I spoke to Letty and after a beautiful prayer she mentioned she would be in Sierra Vista on the 25th of January, and asked if we could meet her there.

That Saturday morning we met for mass and even before I introduced my family to Letty she knew who my daughter was. We then went to Mary's knoll to pray. While in prayer Letty said our Blessed Mother was with us. In one of the most peaceful voices I have ever heard we then were told that our Blessed Mother was reaching out to touch Vivien and that she would be healed. After we did some more praying.

We went up the hill to the chapel where we met Pat who also prayed for Vivien and for my husband to be healed (He had back surgery last year). On February 6, 2003 Vivien went to the hospital for an exam under anesthesia. I was told her glaucoma was controlled. Not everything was good news. The doctor said she was very concerned for the pupil in her left eye was very distorted and was peaked, she was unsure how much if anything the baby was able to see out of that eye. She then recommended yet another surgery. Later that night she called me at home and told me rather than the surgery she was going to prescribe dilating drops for Vivien. These drops are so strong that they can dilate an adult for up to two weeks at a time. My first reaction was to call Letty again and ask for her to do some more praying with me. She did and she told me that now more than ever we needed to have faith in God.

On February 13, 2003 we took Vivien back to her ophthalmologist to ask if there were any other options. During the examination the doctor gasped and was grasping for words. I asked her "now what" I did not want to hear any more bad news. She asked did you put anything in her eyes. We said no. Again I asked what is going on? After examining both eyes the doctor was speechless and could not find an explanation for what she was seeing. Vivien's pupils are rounded and no longer of a concern. We ended the consultation with the doctor saying "some things are better left unquestioned" My husband replied No, God has answered our prayers. We believe in the power of prayer and the love of our lord. Our daughter is living proof. There is nothing I can say to thank you and everybody for the many prayers that have been said for our family. I only ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers for we have a lifetime ahead of us still. We hope to see you soon and God Bless you.

Sincerly yours, Rodarte Family
